Advanced Metal Etching Announced Capital Improvements to Offer their Customers Shorter Lead Times

Advanced Metal Etching, an ISO 9001:2000 manufacturer using photo chemical machining to supply precision metal piece parts to original equipment manufacturers in the electronics, computer, medical equipment, aerospace and other industries, has announced that it has recently reinvested over $400,000 in systems and equipment upgrades. Shorter lead times enhance customers' productivity.

Adding in-house tin plating and a new laser plotter has reduced turn-around by an average of three days. With the new capabilities, AME can go from raw material to finished precision parts in as little as 5 hours and less than 24 hours to the customer's doorstep depending on quantity size. The Parts Now™ Program represents AME's commitment to meeting customers' needs for fast delivery of critical parts.

Tin plating, for customers wanting improved solderability and/or corrosion-resistance, is available in bright or matte finish. The new plotter, used to create tooling films, reduces 24 hours of outsourcing to 24 minutes of in-house quality control. Advanced Metal Etching's photo chemical machining is ideal for applications requiring low-cost tooling, low-cost modifications, tight tolerances and burr-free parts.
